  • When The Warehouse Project started in October 2006, it created a blueprint for events that would change the face of UK clubbing. The idea was hardly revolutionary, but the seasonal approach to their parties has been endlessly replicated in its wake, if arguably never bettered. For roughly four months each winter, The Warehouse Project has taken over a large-scale space in Manchester and booked the planet's leading dance music artists to fill its cavernous rooms. Over the last two years, they've occupied a three-roomed space on the outskirts of the city that, due to its imposing size and level of production, has made The Warehouse Project feel almost like a weekly festival. It's a vast and complex operation, so we asked the event's co-founder Sam Kandel to lift the lid on its inner-workings. Photo credit: Gary Brown
