A remix from Willie Burns rounds out the label's first EP, due out at the end of this month.
Palms Trax is delivering the inaugural EP for a new label called Lobster Theremin.
The Berlin-based producer first hooked up with label head Jimmy Asquith at his London club night Streets Of Beige. They bonded over analog sounds at the "rough-edged intersections of house and techno"—which is precisely what's made it onto the Equations EP. It features three original cuts (Legowelt and the Burrell Brothers are listed as reference points) plus a remix of "Late Jam" from W.T. Records boss Willie Burns. The 12-inch is set to hit shops at the end of the month, and the label will host a launch party at The Old Blue Last in London on October 5th, featuring Palms Trax, Asquith and fellow label artist Snow Bone playing live.
