- Helmut Josef Geier's first full-length in eight years is due out this month.
DJ Hell has posted full details for his upcoming album, Zukunftsmusik.
Zukunftsmusik (German for "future music") will be the fifth studio LP from DJ Hell, AKA Helmut Josef Geier, and the first since 2009's Teufelswerk. It's set for release on the influential German producer's own label, International DeeJay Gigolo Records, which marks 20 years in operation in 2017. We're told to expect his "most personal, ambitious and thought-provoking body of work to date," with an album balancing "classical dramatic orchestral tension and evocative futuristic synthesis." It'll come out in digital format on May 12th, with vinyl and CD following later.
We first got a taste of Zukunftsmusik late last year with "I Want U," a single that came with remixes from The Hacker and Martin Matiske. Another 12-inch is on the way with reworks from Marcel Dettmann—you can hear this one in our New Tracks feed—and Terence Fixmer.
