- The group's third full-length will see a release in May.
After weeks of leaking minor details, LCD Soundsystem have revealed the title of their forthcoming album: This Is Happening.
The new record is slated for release this May on frontman James Murphy's own DFA Records. This summer, the band will embark on an extensive, festival-heavy tour to support the album, with appearances at Coachella, Sonar, Roskilde, Bestival and many more. A sneak peek of their new track can be found via this stream of "Drunk Girls," This Is Happening's first single, courtesy of Pitchfork Media.
In addition to finishing the new album, Murphy has also been busy scoring Greenberg, a new film by Noah Baumbach that hits theatres tomorrow. The soundtrack, currently available through Virgin Records, includes eleven new tunes by Murphy, plus one new one by LCD Soundsystem, entitled "Oh You (Christmas Blues)".
