- Border Community will release the UK-based producer's debut album this August.
Norwich-based producer Luke Abbott is set to release his debut album later this summer, entitled Holkham Drones.
Since 2006, Abbott has pushed a lush, melodic style of 4/4 electronic music that's been compared to Four Tet and Caribou. He got his start on the now-defunct Output label, then in 2008 got picked up by James Holden's Border Community, who will be releasing Holkham Drones. According to a press release, the new record is "danceable rather than dance music" and distinctly influenced by krautrock. All of the tracks are previously unreleased, except for "Soft Attacks," which Holden included on his recent edition of DJ Kicks.
