- The Japanese duo's first album will hit stores next month.
Japanese production duo COS/MES are ready to release their debut album next month, entitled Gozmez Land *Chaosexotica.
Consisting of Tokyo-based artists Flatic and 5ive, COS/MES champion an open-ended blend of cosmic disco, house and Balearica, resulting in a sound that RA's William Rauscher described as "brimming over with beachy bliss and oceanic drift." The duo have been releasing records since 2007, but their rate of output spiked this year once they started working with ESP Institute, a label run by Andrew Hogge, the American artist who records as Lovefingers. Gozmez... collects tracks from the three 12-inches COS/MES released this year, plus six previously unreleased cuts. It comes packaged with artwork by ESP Institutes's in-house artist Mario Hugo.
