The canal-side venue's party agenda includes Jeff Mills, Magnetic Man and Paul Kalkbrenner.
Amsterdam's Paradiso has a series of five events lined up for this year's edition of ADE, with styles ranging from pop-inspired dubstep to pure Detroit techno.
Housed in a converted church on the banks of a canal, Paradiso is one of Amsterdam's most popular venues for parties as well as other events like concerts—or in the case of next Wednesday night, The International Golden Gnome Awards, the clubbing industry's tongue-in-cheek awards ceremony. Their ADE program kicks off next Thursday with a multifaceted affair: techno heavyweight Jeff Mills in the big room, Dutch Perlon act San Proper in the small room and local production duo Juju & Jordash in the basement.
The following night will see an early (10:00pm) live performance from Africa Hitech, a Warp duo made up of Mark Pritchard and Steve Spacek. They'll set the stage for ADE's Dubstep Special, headlined by the supergroup Magnetic Man (AKA Skream, Benga and Artwork). Electro house will be the sound du jour on the Saturday, thanks to Dutch artist Boemklatsch and like-minded acts Goose and Jack Beats. The weekend concludes on Sunday night with performances from Paul Kalkbrenner and his brother, Fritz.
