- The previously unreleased Pandora's Box will be joined onto Crystal Republic for a CD due out in June.
Later this month, Rush Hour will release a compilation of Tevo Howard tracks, primarily consisting of his 2009 release Crystal Republic and a new EP called Pandora's Box.
Howard came out of nowhere in 2008 with a smooth, stripped-down sound that made him a new favorite among deep house connoisseurs. At first he released his music exclusively through his own labels, until early last year when Rush Hour put out Crystal Republic (Howard has since had releases on Rebirth and Buzzin' Fly). That EP makes up the last five tracks of the new full-length; the first seven are from the previously unreleased Pandora's Box, which reportedly shows a more varied and at times Italo-flavored side of Howard's sound. Two other tracks are included as well, both from 2009: "Move" and "I Won't Lay Back," the latter of which features Howard's father, Rick, on vocals.
Pandora's Box will be released on its own as a double 12-inch in late June or early July. As with Crystal Republic, it will come out on Rush Hour subsidiary Hour House is Your Rush.
