Battles, Cut Copy, Toro y Moi, James Blake and many more will play the three-day event in Chicago next month.
The Pitchfork Music Festival will take place in Chicago from July 15th through 17th.
Naturally, the lineup overall is heavy on indie rock: main headliners include Deerhunter, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, TV on the Radio and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, plus classic acts like Guided By Voices and The Dismemberment Plan. But loads of electronic artists have been booked as well, from the crossover sounds of Animal Collective and Cut Copy to UK bass exponents like James Blake and Darkstar. "Chill-wave" favorite Toro Y Moi will play a set, as will lo-fi R&B maestro How To Dress Well. On the more experimental tip, there's Gang Gang Dance, Battles and HEALTH. Fittingly for a festival in Chicago, footwork will be in the picture as well, thanks to local export Chrissy Murderbot, who will perform with MC Zulu.
