The tour will bring parties and seminars to 17 cities across the US and Canada.
Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice have revealed details for a sprawling tour of North America called CNTRL: Beyond EDM.
According to the tour's press release, CNTRL will be focused on "engaging young North American fans of EDM and showing them the roots of the music, the history of a global movement and demonstrating what the future of music technology and performance has the power to become." To that noble end, Hawtin and Loco Dice, partnered with industry brands like Dubspot, Sennheiser and Native Instruments, will head up a three-week, seventeen-city tour of the US and Canada.
Heavy-hitting DJs like Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Josh Wink, Seth Troxler and Paco Osuna will join Hawtin and Loco Dice in select cities along the way, and DJ TechTools founder Ean Golden will be present throughout. The tour is about more than just parties: CURRICULM, an afternoon seminar of lectures and Q&A sessions featuring Hawtin, Loco Dice, Golden and the rotating cast of guest DJs and special guest speakers, will take place on a university campus in each city.
It all kicks off in Buffalo on Monday, October 29th. A series of East Coast US dates will be followed by a four-stop week in Canada, and in mid-November the tour winds down in the Midwest, for now. A West Coast leg of events in 2013 is still in the works.
