- The Brooklyn duo will release their debut album through Ghostly International in April.
Beacon will release The Ways We Separate on April 29th.
The New York band emerged last year on Ghostly International with two EPs of downbeat electronic pop, reflecting Thomas Mullarney and Jacob Gossett's R&B influences. According to a press release, The Way We Separate sees the group treading similar territory with a richer palette of analogue synths, manipulated guitar and processed vocals. The majority of the album's lyrics concern "two kinds of separation," says Mullarney—"one where two entities grow apart, and the other where we grow apart from ourselves." All of the tracks on the LP are previously unreleased, except "Feeling's Gone," which first appeared on the For Now EP late last year.
