- Full details of the Rush Hour producer's next full-length have emerged.
Tom Trago will release his third album, The Light Fantastic, in October.
As previously reported, Trago preceded the new album with a three-track sampler 12-inch, which came out last month. Now details have filtered through of the album proper, which will come out through the Dutchman's usual home, Rush Hour Recordings. "I tried to go a bit back towards the style I was doing on [first album] Voyage Direct, so dance floor beats with deeper impact," the producer says. A press release says The Light Fantastic touches on Trago's signature brew of deep house, boogie, disco, acid house and rave.
Guest collaborations come from Steffi, Ben Westbeech, San Proper and Makam, as well as vocalist Holly Wood and "a local club owner who just happened to swing by the studio." Trago says: "One of the points of the album was using people who were close to home, part of the family almost. I thought whoever walks in the studio can get involved. If they walked in, they could sing, play some synths or do some mixing. A lot of people came to hang out and ended up lending a hand. It's a much more fun way of working than sending your track to somebody across the other side of the world."
