- The UK producer's second album will come out on Tabernacle in November.
Tabernacle Records will release the second John Heckle album, Desolate Figures, on November 18th.
The record arrives two years on from Heckle's debut LP, Second Son, which came out on Jamal Moss's Mathematics label. Since then he's released a weighty double-pack EP called The Last Magic Maker for Creme Organization and a couple of 12-inches. Desolate Figures will be released by Tabernacle, the UK label that has maintained a close association with Heckle since it launched in 2010, putting out two EPs and commissioning him to remix Scan 7's Trackmaster Lou.
According to the album's press release, Desolate Figures further explores Heckle's signature sound—a hardware-focused mix of jacking Chicago house, electro and raw techno—with the rattling, on-the-fly nature of his live shows influencing the tone of the record. It will be released on double-vinyl and digital formats.
