- Brendon Moeller's tenth album will land on Prologue next month.
Brendon Moeller, AKA Echologist, will release his next LP on Prologue in November.
According to a press release, Storming Heaven "reflects ideas from composers that inspired [Moeller]... he has attempted to personalise and interpret these influences, creating something idiosyncratic and nostalgic." The cover sleeve, which depicts a black-and-white still of King Kong being swooped by planes, reinforces the sense of nostalgia.
Moeller's last full-length as Echologist was 2011's beatless Subterranean, which RA's Andrew Ryce described as "a techno album that avoids the pitfalls of the classifications 'ambient' and 'dub techno' while sitting comfortably in both." Since then he's released an LP under his given name called Works, which came out on Electric Deluxe in 2012.
Whereas Subterranean came out via Moeller's own Steadfast label, Storming Heaven will arrive on Munich techno institution Prologue, which released the Echologist EP Mechanics Of Joy earlier this year. You can listen to a 34-minute clip of the new album over at the Prologue SoundCloud page.
