A series of lectures and live performances have been planned for the conference, which will take place in March.
Details have been announced for the After 25 conference, which will take place in Tokyo on Saturday, March 1st.
The theme of the event is Berlin's thriving music and cultural scene. Amid Japan's ageing population—a theme explored in-depth in our latest Real Scenes documentary—the central question of After 25 is: "Can the story of Berlin inspire Tokyo's creators, youth, and the administration to build new foundations to support the city’s creative evolution?"
The daytime section of the conference will comprise a series of talks and panels that shine light on various facets of Berlin's music scene, with representatives of Native Instruments and Kater Holzig set to appear alongside author Tobias Rapp and more. The nighttime action kicks off at midnight at Club Unit, with Robert Henke presenting his Lumière live show. Burnt Friedman and Guenter Schickert will also play live, while DJ Nobu is locked in for a DJ set.
