Vladislav Delay, Porter Ricks, Huerco S and Demdike Stare will all play the Polish festival's next US edition.
Unsound has revealed details of its 2014 festival in New York.
After taking a year off in 2013 to focus on events in London, Krakow and Adelaide, the festival will return to New York this year. It will begin on Wednesday, April 2nd, and run through until Sunday, April 6th, taking over venues like Lincoln Center, famed loft space Experimental Intermedia, ISSUE Project Room and Brooklyn’s First Unitarian Church. The lineup features a few Unsound favourites like Demdike Stare, Andy Votel and Vladislav Delay, as well as dub techno merchants DeepChord and Porter Ricks and former Hype Williams member Inga Copeland.
As always there is some Polish representation on the bill, with Piotr Kurek, Hubert Zemler, Pietnastka, Robert Piotrowicz, Kapital and string players from Sinfonietta Cracovia all featuring. The US contingent includes Huerco S, Ital & Halal, Phill Niblock, Ben Vida and Leisure Muffin, who recently put out a record for The Bunker New York, the party-turned-label that's been lined up to co-present a night of Unsound action on Saturday, April 5th.
Unsound's Adelaide edition will take place next month (it made it into our run-down of March's best festivals), while the marquee Polish event will go down in October.
