- Kicking off this weekend, the 10-date run will feature shows in São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Cancun.
Goth-Trad has revealed full details of his debut Latin American tour, starting in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, August 9th.
The Japanese DJ and producer, real name Takeaki Maruyama, was a key player during the early days of UK dubstep, contributing regularly to Mala's Deep Medi label. This weekend he takes his dark, low-slung sound to Latin America for the first time, taking in ten shows (including one in Denver) before August is out. In Rio he will spin for Wobble at Espaço Franklin, before playing gigs in Buenos Aires (15th, Medrano Club), Cordoba (16th, Paraguay) and São Paulo (17th, Lions Nightclub) in quick succession.
From there, Maruyama travels north to Mexico, where he will play at TBA venues in Cancun on the 22nd and Merida on the 23rd. On the 26th he will stop by Sub.mission at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver for his sole US date, before returning to Mexico to wrap up the tour with three shows in as many days. He will play Guadalajara's C3 club on the 28th, Cuatroviente in Mexico City on the 29th and Underbass/Discofrenia at Acopio Comite in Puebla on the 30th.
