- Midtown will see the dOP frontman team up with Art Department, Claude VonStroke and Brodinski.
Jonathan Illel, AKA JAW, will release a collaborative mixtape via Circus Company in October.
The Parisian, best known as the lead singer for deep house trio dOP, has called upon 19 producers to provide instrumentals, which he has then sung over. Titled Midtown, the album spans a wide range of genres, placing many house and techno staples outside of their comfort zone. Claude VonStroke's offering, for example, is low-slung R&B, while Art Department and Cassius turn out cuts of sleazy electronica and high-octane rock respectively. French favourites Brodinski, dOP and Seuil also feature, and there's music from several non-electronic acts, including Italian singer-songwriter Piers Faccini and folk guitarist Steve Smyth.
