- The Brooklyn trio's new record is a soundtrack to the video game of the same name.
Archie Pelago have just released a new album called Off-Peak.
It's a soundtrack for a video game created by Pelago cellist Cosmo D. A blurb on the game's website describes the premise as such: "you're stranded at cathedral-like train station in the near future, searching for a ticket out of town. Explore the secret passageways, interact with strangers, dig for records, and get hypnotized by the soundtrack—a new batch of never-before-heard Archie Pelago tunes."
Those tunes, which the New York-based trio have apparently been working on for a few years, make up the Off-Peak LP. The band promises that their music is "deeper than ever before," and the record also features vocal contributions from the likes of Novelty Daughter and Gabe Garzon-Montano. You can listen to "Mortified By Faith" below, and stream the whole thing over at BandCamp.
