- The Lust For Youth member will issue another collaborative full-length later this month.
Olymphia will release their debut album, Music For A Dance Performance, on May 22nd.
The new record is the latest transmission from Rahbek, the prolific co-founder of label and store Posh Isolation. In March, he released Vegas Fountain, the latest LP from his band Damien Dubrovnik, and then last month he returned with an album-length collaboration with Puce Mary.
As Olymphia, Rahbek works with Kristian Emdal, a member of the Cophenhagen punk band Lower whose photos, videos and artwork have lent visual definition to the scene. As was the case with Puce Mary, Emdal and Rahbek recorded Music For A Dance Performance's five tracks at the Cophenhagen practice space and venue Mayhem, as well as Stockholm's state-funded synthesizer repository, the EMS studios. Per the title, the duo formed the LP's five experimental tracks with an imagined dance performance in mind.
