  • Pioneer has announced an update to recordbox dj. The Plus Pack update allows users to DJ directly from the recordbox software. Until now, recordbox dj was primarily a music storage and preparation system, but now users have the option to link it with a DJ controller. This means it's now possible to play with a controller without having to transfer your library onto other software. To make things easier, Plus Pack's interface mirrors the layout of Pioneer controllers. Two new controllers tailored to recordbox dj will also be released. DDJ-RZ and DDJ-RX both mimic the interface of recordbox dj, with the controllers allowing users to record, play and loop pad routines on the fly. The difference between the DDJ-RZ and DDJ-RX is that the former has a crossfader, OSC Sample, two USB soundcards and the same jogwheels as Pioneer's top-of-the-line CDJ-2000NXS. Watch a video below for more information.
Pioneer will release recordbox dj Plus Pack on October 1st at a suggested retail price of price of €139, and the DDJ-RZ or DDJ-RX controllers at a suggested retail price of €2,099 and €1,049 respectively.
