- Meridian 2016, featuring new takes from Bicep and Oskar Offermann, is out in July.
Ian Pooley's Meridian 2016 is out on his own Pooledmusic on July 1st.
Pooley's '90s sound, which integrated seminal Chicago and Detroit influences landed him a major label deal with V2 Records, who issued Meridian in 1998 as well as his Brazilian-inflected 2000 follow-up, Since Then. On the new 19-track package, Pooley has included remixes that were previously only available on the Japanese edition of the full-length, from the likes of Kevin Saunderson (under his E-Dancer alias), Jazzanova and Bob Sinclar.
He's also landed present-day versions from Bicep and Oskar Offermann. Pooledmusic will also release a 12-inch of the new remixes, including two reworks from Munich-based producer Mathias Schober.
In late June, Pooley will also release an EP of new material called Turakina, his first record on his own label since his 2013 album What I Do. Since then, he issued the Floris EP on Innervisions, while imprints like Scenario and Figure reissued several of his classic '90s tracks.
