  • San Francisco-based crew Honey Soundsystem has announced the next release on its label, Bézier's Cosmologist EP, as well as a pride party in LA on June 10th. 2016 has been the Bay Area foursome's busiest year yet, with members often splitting up to DJ multiple cities on a given night. Jackie House, fresh off an appearance at Nuits Sonores alongside Jason Kendig, will be on hand for Flaming Man, a pride weekend event Honey is throwing with Prototype at Lot 613. A secret special guest will headline the "Flaming Man" show. Bézier is the other Honey representative at the LA party, and June also sees him putting out an Italo-tinged three-tracker for their label. Cosmologist follows up a 2015 12-inch on Honey and the Telomeres EP for sister imprint Dark Entries. The label says the new record draws from a diverse set of influences including the late '80s, early '90s KIIS FM universe, Japanese anime theme songs and the bebop jazz solos of Charlie Parker, Cannonball Adderley and Stan Getz. (Bézier, AKA Robert Yang, was trained in saxophone starting at age 10.) Tickets to Prototype 035: Honey Soundsystem aavailable on RA. Listen to clips from Bézier's Cosmologist below.
