- The four-channel PX:5 was spotted at a launch event in Berlin last night.
Allen & Heath has a new mixer.
The PX:5 was displayed during an official event at Berghain Kantine in Berlin last night. DJ Tech Tools reports that the four-channel model looks to be a successor to the industry standard Xone:92. However, the specifications indicate a stripped down version, featuring one multimode filter instead of two and three-band EQs rather than the four-bands found on the Xone:92. According to DJ Tech Tools, the PX:5 will also feature a 20 channel 24-bit 96kHz USB2 internal soundcard while FX routing is handled by a send/return channel and a master insert. There's currently no word on price or release date, but we can expect concrete details from Allen & Heath in the not-too-distant future.
