Norm Talley will release his first album, Norm-A-Lize on FXHE Records.
Norm-A-Lize arrives 25 years into Talley's career, and the label nods to his Motor City pedigree in the press release. "Having started his career when disco was king, Talley's real-life influences over his 25-plus-year career have included the originations of house through various iterations," it says. "His reference points as one of the original members of the West 6 Mile Detroit crew and his dedication to his analog-only studio position him as one of the more dynamic Detroit artists."
FXHE boss Omar-S had a hand in the opening track, "Alright feat. L'Renee." (Talley featured on Omar-S's The Best LP.) The former has put out a steady stream of EPs, remixes and compilation tracks over the last 20 years, and is well-known for his DJ sets and enduring Detroit house cuts like "The Journey" and "Change."
