- The label is also giving Forest Drive West's Persistence Of Memory EP, which recently surfaced as a white label 12-inch, a full release.
Felix K's Hidden Hawaii is putting out an LP from an artist named Myself 69.
Gilga V, the fifth entry in Hidden Hawaii's Gilga series, looks to be the debut release from Myself 69, but the label hasn't revealed much more information about the producer. He offers an eclectic blend of downtempo, ambient and experimental sounds across the album's seven tracks. Try out samples at Hardwax, which has first copies of the record—it'll hit other stores soon.
Hidden Hawaii is also giving a wider release to the Forest Drive West 12-inch Persistence Of Memory, after it first came out on white label vinyl back in July. Besides a proper edition on wax, a digital version is in the works. Like Myself 69, little is known about who is behind the Forest Drive West project, which has previously appeared on Livity Sound, Dnuos Ytivil, and Rupture London. Listen to samples of Persistence Of Memory below.
Hidden Hawaii has otherwise remained focused on albums in 2017: one came from Felix K that was credited to his real name Felix Krone, and another from DB1, and one more saw those two producers team up using the alias Elemnt. The label has also announced a showcase at OHM in Berlin for Saturday, October 28th.
