- Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch handled the music after the departure of Jóhann Jóhannsson.
The soundtrack for Blade Runner 2049 comes out tomorrow.
Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch made the score after the departure of Jóhann Jóhannsson, who was originally slated to write music for the film before parting ways last month. Speaking to Al-Arabiya, Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve explained the break by saying he needed to "go back to something closer to Vangelis," the Greek composer who handled the score for the original 1982 Blade Runner film.
The full tracklist for Zimmer and Wallfisch's score has been revealed. The soundtrack release also features tracks from Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Lauren Daigle.
The film hits theatres tomorrow, October 6th. Watch the most recent trailer.
