Jon Hopkins' next album, Singularity, will see release via Domino on May 4th.
Singularity is influenced by the UK producer's experiences with meditation and trance states, the label says. It embraces a wide stylistic range that spans "rugged techno to transcendent choral music, from solo acoustic piano to psychedelic ambient."
The album announcement follows last month's mysterious four-minute "trailer" that Hopkins released via Facebook. His last studio full-length, the RA Recommended Immunity LP, came out in 2013. He also was behind a 2015 installment in the LateNightTales mix series.
He'll take off on his Singularity Live Tour in October, which includes gigs across Scandinavia, the UK, Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin and Paris.
