- The New York-based artist's third full-length, and first for PAN, is out in June.
PAN is putting out an album from Eartheater in June called IRISIRI.
IRISIRI will be the third LP from Eartheater, AKA Alexandra Drewchin, a New York-based artist who brings an experimental edge to a range of pursuits, including music composition, singing, poetry, choreography and performance art. PAN says Drewchin presents "a shifting network of abstract song craft" with lyrics that "explore themes of her autodidactic experience—playing with the tutelage of the 'pupil' within the 'iris' mirrored" in the palindrome of the record's title. The 13-track album includes collaborations with Odwalla1221 and Moor Mother.
Drewchin's previous two Eartheater albums, Metalepsis and RIP Chrysalis, came out on Chicago label Hausu Mountain back in 2015.
Listen to IRISIRI track "C.L.I.T."—which the artist says stands for "Curiosity Liberates Infinite Truth."
And watch a video accompaniment to the album called "Claustra."
