- "Barely a whisper of dance music remains" on the LP, the label says.
Next up from Planet Mu is an album from Ital Tek called Bodied, due out in September.
Following up on his 2016 LP, Hollowed, Alan Myson's new album moves away from the rhythms of more functional dance music. "With this album I was much more concerned with dynamics and the discipline of holding tension," the longtime Planet Mu artist says, "the use of space and silence to provide a counterpoint to the intensity." The label writes that "barely a whisper of dance music remains."
Bodied uses a fair amount of organic instrumentation—cello, violin, harp and guitar—to give it a "human acoustic foundation," Ital Tek explains. It's his fifth album for the label over the course of ten years.
