  • Elektron has announced the Analog Heat MKII. The original version of the stereo effects processor, which was first announced late in 2016, offers producers eight flavours of distortion, ranging from subtle saturation to destructive fuzz. Combined with a stereo filter, EQ, envelopes and LFOs, it can sculpt and create movement in the mix. The new MKII model introduces visual feedback for the Amp, Filter, Envelope and LFO pages, along with backlit keys, an improved OLED screen and enhanced encoders, which should improve performance in live situations. The hardware improvements mirror changes made elsewhere in the Elektron range; the Octatrack, Analog RTYM and Analog Four were updated last year. The Swedish company's last product was an FM synthesiser called Digitone. Read our review of the original Analog Heat. Listen to sound demos of the Analog Heat MKII.
The Elektron Analog Heat MKII costs $819 and is available now.
