- Do You Records is set to launch soon with a compilation EP featuring Dog And Fox, Bryce Hackford and Seiji Ono.
Charlie Bones, the London DJ who hosts NTS Radio's breakfast show Do!! You!!!, is starting a label called Do You Records.
Bones is known for his wide-ranging, genre-defying selections, an approach he aims to bring to the new label. One feature of his radio show is Readers' WAVs, where he plays unreleased, self-made tracks sent in by listeners, and Do You Records' first 12-inch, DOYOURECORDS001, includes one of those submissions: "Who Gets The Cows," from an artist named Dog And Fox, which Bones describes as a "futuristic philosophy banger."
The EP, whose release date is still TBA, also features contributions from Bryce Hackford, a New York DJ and producer who's appeared on labels including Meakusma and DFA, and Seiji Ono, a member of the Melodies International label crew. It'll arrive on vinyl and digital formats.
Besides a full stream of the Dog And Fox cut, you can listen to samples of the record at Rubadub.
