Mexico City club Yu Yu opens second-floor listening bar and record shop

- Yu Yu in Mexico City has a few big announcements to coincide with their one-year anniversary. The intimate nightclub, which occupies a 19th-century residence, will add a second-floor listening bar and record shop. It'll open on the third week of November with a week of gigs curated by MUTEK, with Actress and Aurora Halal among the artists booked to inaugurate the new space. Downstairs in the main room, they also knocked down the wall between the bar area and the dance floor, nearly doubling the room for dancing. The rest of the schedule for their anniversary month includes Convextion, Shygirl, Galcher Lustwerk, Interstellar Funk and a NAAFI party. The Berlin club night Reef will also organize a four-part Yu Yu residency from December to March, with Reef resident Darwin joined by Call Super, Shanti Celeste, Cera Khin and Martyn. They've shared some renderings of what the upstairs bar and shop will look like when they open in a couple weeks.
