  • Joe Claussell will launch the new Secretsundaze mixtape series in May. Available as a cassette and digital download, the 85-minute mix was recorded live at Brooklyn's Cosmic Arts Center. The label calls it it "spiritual" and "introspective." After Claussell comes a mixtape from Dutch DJ and De School resident Carista, which is due in September. Secretsundaze (James Priestley & Giles Smith) will also release their first-ever EP as a production duo on the label, out in June. That will be followed by a mini-LP from Eliphino (details are still forthcoming about that one) and a split re-edit 12-inch from Secretsundaze and Ge-ology in July. "Secretsundaze as a label has been running since 2007," Priestley says, "largely instinctively and with a focus on house 12-inches. We're super excited to see the next chapter unravel as we broaden our musical horizons and have some fun with formats too." Joe Claussell will join Marcellus Pittman and Ash Lauryn for a Secretsundaze Bank Holiday party on May 5th in London to celebrate the release. Listen to clips from Claussell's mixtape.
Secretsundaze will release Joe Claussell Mixtape on May 10th, 2019.
