- The Los Angeles label will also put out a cassette album from Cammi in October.
100% Silk has announced a trio of fall releases from Force Placement, LA Vampires & Cologne and Cammi.
The well-established Los Angeles label will handle the debut album from Force Placement, Vibe Repair. The nearly hour-long album was conceived in early morning sessions following parties. Force Placement, AKA Jason James, cofounded The Black Lodge, a stalwart Los Angeles underground event series.
October also sees the return of 100% Silk cofounder Amanda Kramer's LA Vampires project. For her first release in seven years, she's collaborated with the bicoastal duo Cologne (Danny Scott Lane and Vasilios Manoudakis) on the appropriately titled project, LA Vampires Does Cologne. Silk will also put out an album from Michigan-based artist Cammi, real name Cameron Weede. He got his chops playing trombone in free jazz acts but eventually developed a passion for classic house and cheap gear. Look At The World was made with "ugly '90s FM/romplers and digital synths because it's all I can afford," according to Weede.

Listen to LA Vampires Does Cologne's "GR8IST THING."
Listen to Cammi's "Advice."
