  • Seven nightclub in Melbourne have a couple of internationals booked for August, to entice you to come out clubbing during the cold winter months. First up, Gene Farris (Chicago) will be playing at Seven on Sunday August 1 at Freebase. Farris is no newbie behind the decks, having started out at the ripe old age of twelve. Sixteen years later, with a record label and over forty productions to his name, Farris will be bringing Chicago House to Melbourne. Look out for some hints of disco in his set as he draws influence from acts such as Prince. Tickets are $15/$25 and the event is brought to you by Phreakin & Freebase. On Saturday 21st August, Family at Seven presents Stevie Kotey. For those who didn’t catch him last year, Kotey is the newest addition to the ever popular outfit the Chicken Lips. While original members Andy Meecham and Dean Meredith are busy with production duties, Stevie Kotey travels the world promoting the Chicken Lip’s sound. So for those who have enjoyed their two albums or their single “He Not In”. Doors open at 10pm for this party and its tickets on the door. Get your house fix this winter, and keep warm by dancing!
