  • MUTEK MX has announced the complete lineup of artists performing at its 16th edition going down November 18th through the 24th at various venues in Mexico City. Brian Eno's Condensor installation will be on display at MUTEK MX's club night-style Nocturne events. It's described as a generative painting capable of infinite "colorscapes," along with an accompanying generative music soundtrack. The two Nocturne events will also see the Latin American premiere of Max Cooper and Architecture Social Club's Aether installation, presented by Adidas Originals. MUTEK MX has also partnered with NoiseLab & WHITEVoid to present Christopher Bauder & Kangding Ray's SKALAR piece at Frontón México as well as the Museo Jumex for special tours of James Turrell's Passages Of Light. Most substantially, the final announce includes 16 Mexican artists who were booked following a nation-wide open call. They include Concepción Huerta, Naerlot & Ultrachina, Rodrigo Martinez & Guillermo Olivera, CNDSD (who will collaborate with the Cuban artist Ivan Abreu) and many more. Check out the full lineup, which includes the likes of Tim Hecker, Aïsha Devi, Fennesz and DJ Lag (who will headline the RA stage) in the event listing below.
