Polifonic team to host Alternate Festival this month with '99% Italian artists'

- Polifonic is hosting a festival later this month with a nearly all-Italian lineup. Taking place from July 23rd through 26th in Puglia, Italy, Alternate Festival is focusing on local acts for safety and sustainability. Organisers will enforce certain rules per local COVID-19 guidelines, including social distancing, wearing masks in queues and keeping the event at a limited capacity. "Regione Puglia allows dancing with your beloved ones and friends," the festival says. "Wear your mask while queuing and respect distancing with other people." The lineup includes a variety of Italy-based live acts and DJs, including Claudio PRC, DJ Plant Texture, Gigi Mason, Paula Tape, O.BEE and Massimiliano Pagliara. Goa Ultrabeat resident Adiel will play a satellite show a few days after the main event on July 1st. The festival proper will take place across three venues, starting with a preview at Lido Marzà on July 23rd, followed by Masseria Capece Contrada Gianecchia (24th-25th) and Le Palme Beach Club Contrada Pantanelli (26th) for the closing party. In line with their sustainability focus, the festival is also encouraging attendees to bring their own water bottle.
