Back To Mine has tapped London collective Horse Meat Disco for the next installment of its celebrated mix series.
Spanning 15 tracks, Back To Mine: Horse Meat Disco touches on disco, soul, funk and house music. It includes exclusive remixes of two tracks ("Jump Into The Light" and "Self Control") from their 2020 debut album, Love And Dancing. A digital, CD and vinyl version will be available on May 20th.
In a press statement, the ensemble explained how the upcoming album sums up their approach to disco. "We mix it up with a retro vein running through it and with so many new producers trying to emulate the sounds of the 70s and 80s these days, there’s always more music that fits into what we do."
To support the release, Horse Meat Disco have announced a massive summer tour around the UK and Europe, which includes appearances at Glastonbury, GALA and Love Saves The Day.
Back To Mine: Horse Meat Disco follows the series' previous edition by Fatboy Slim from 2020. Launched in 1999, Back To Mine has since featured the likes of New Order, Roots Manuva and Groove Armada, among others.
