- DESTEFSTER launches in May.
Steffi is starting a new label, DESTEFSTER.
The outlet launches with a reissue of Steffi's debut album, Yours & Mine, originally released via Ostgut Ton in 2011, and its first single, "Yours," featuring Virginia. The vocal house classic, which includes dub and instrumental mixes, will be out on May 9th, followed by the album in June.
"I can't thank Virginia enough for pulling the first sketch of 'Yours' out of the bin and recognizing a dance floor banger in the making," Steffi wrote on Facebook. "The little draft I had was definitely not on my album tracklist but Virginia insisted on having a jam with it. I drove to the studio and was kinda curious to know why there was such a persistency from her side to work on this. Just for fun I threw a second synth line on top and the phone rang. Check your inbox! Virginia had jammed the first verse and chorus and it was spot on."
Virginia, also via Facebook, added: "I persisted in giving ['Yours'] a try. To make a short story even shorter—a day later the song was finished! Not that we could ever imagine the impact of this this EP. Still super happy with the collaboration and grateful for the opportunity."
