- Out November 4th, the release features new tracks and photos from studio sessions.
Jam City's critically acclaimed debut album, Classical Curves, is getting a vinyl reissue.
Arriving November 4th on the UK artist's Earthly Records, the reissue feature ten tracks of rarities and unreleased material written around the time of Classical Curves, as well as photographs taken by Jam City as research for the cover art. The double-LP also includes extended versions of "Her" and "How We Relate To the Body."
Widely credited as a pivotal starting point for deconstructed club and a precursor to hyperpop, Classical Curves originally came out via Night Slugs on May 28th, 2012. Across ten tracks, the LP fused '80s synth work and glossy, unconventional sound design with industrial percussion.
Since its release, Jam City has produced for the likes of Kelela, Olivia Rodrigo and Troye Sivan. In 2020, he released his third album, Pillowland, via Earthly. Read more about his approach to production in this 2021 interview.
