  • Techno artist Pfirter has launched a GoFundMe to replace the hardware that was recently stolen from his Barcelona studio. The Argentinian DJ and producer broke the news on Monday, December 19th. "Yesterday I returned from a weekend on tour to find out that my house and studio got robbed in my absence," he wrote. "I can't explain how it feels to come back to your place and see that all the essential material things are gone. Everything that I invested in the past ten years since I moved to Barcelona is now in someone else's hands." The post also explained how Pfirter is still recovering financially from the pandemic, and mentions that neither his studio nor his home were insured. The list of stolen equipment includes a Xone:92 mixer, Pioneer CDJs and PSI Audio A21-M speakers. The GoFundMe has already surpassed the €6,000 mark. The goal is €17,350. The post continued: "I dislike asking for donations but at this point, I really need and will appreciate any help through my GoFundMe campaign to make me recover my studio and my work material which I cannot achieve by myself at this complicated time. There's no minimum donation and all your support will be highly appreciated and not just limited to funding. Sharing this to reach more people can make a difference." Pfirter will close out 2022 with shows in Dortmund and Budapest. Donate to the GoFundMe.
