Aphex Twin has shared the first track from his first EP in five years.
"Blackbox Life Recorder 21f" was uploaded to the Aphex Twin Soundcloud earlier today, June 21st, but has since been deleted. Similarly, Deezer posted details of a four-track EP, Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760, out via Warp Records on July 28th. This has also since been deleted. The EP was finally confirmed when Warp Records officially announced it via Bandcamp.
The UK artist has been teasing new music via an augmented reality programme linked to recent performances.
The new EP will be Aphex Twin's first since 2018's Collapse. He's currently touring, and will perform at London festival Field Day on August 19th. A new book analysing all of his music is also out now.
