A forthcoming VA compilation on UK label Blank Mind explores a blissed-out corner of early 90s UK hardcore.
Out on March 25th, Lost Paradise: Blissed Out Breakbeat Hardcore 1991-94 explores "a particular niche of old UK hardcore that takes cues from Sheffield bleep ambience, heady rave futurism and soft, almost New Age synth pads," according to the liner notes. Compiled by Tammo Hesselink and label founder Sam Purcell, it features eight tracks from the likes of DJ Mayhem, Skanna and Sleepwalker.
Blank Mind has previously released records from J Chrysalis, Audioboyz, DJ Clent and more. The label also put out an EP from Hesselink in 2022.
