A new A Love From Outer Space VA compilation is on the way.
Out on February 14th through Material Music, the 19-track LP will mark 15 years of Sean Johnston and the late Andrew Weatherall's beloved club night. Compiled by Johnston, it features tracks from the likes of Brioski, Duncan Gray and Feon, plus a Weatherall remix of "Find Love" by Phil Kieran.
Conceived in 2010 as a response to the fast-paced music prominent in the scene at the time, A Love From Outer Space enforced a policy of playing tracks that were 122 BPM or less. Johnston has continued the party—which has taken place at venues including Phonox in London, The Refuge in Manchester and The Berekeley Suite in Glasgow—as a solo endeavour following Weatherall's death in 2020.
