- Skylark, aka Nic Fanciulli and Andy Chatterley are releasing their debut longplayer 'i-Panik'.
Skylark, aka Nic Fanciulli and Andy Chatterley, are releasing a debut longplayer 'i-Panik' this month.
This year Fanciulli has been lapping the globe with James Zabiela as DJ tag team One+One, but it was actually as one half of house duo Skylark that he first popped up on dance music radars following the Skylark remix of the Tears for Fears classic 'Shout' in 2003. The project combined Fanciulli's dancefloor know-how with Chatterley's penchant for pop and knack for synths (Chatterley is a song writer for Universal and also jammed on Kanye West's new longplayer) and lead to the pair retooling the likes of Deep Dish, Kylie and Zoo Brazil, and most recently Tiefschwarz under their secondary alter ego Buick Project.
'i-Panik' is the pair's first stab at a larger collection of original material. The fourteen-tracker ranges from deep house to techno and melodic progressive and will initially only be available in digital form with a physical release accompanied by a second disc of remixes to follow in 2008.
