- The next release on the stylishly titled Elektrosila label comes from Mike Mendoza, and he turns in two devastating tech house stormers that are very unique.
First up is the purely seductive Don’t Be Afraid that I must say builds brilliantly throughout. The track really is never stale for the duration, as it first builds with some crisp drum patterns that are tightly intertwined with a very groovy baseline. Quirky effects come into the track, followed closely by a smooth piano line and very subtle high-toned stabbing synths. All the elements seem to form together quite nicely creating a very solid production on the whole.
Turn it over for Indulgences which is a smooth production from the word go. Warm pads roll over some smooth and bouncy beats that build with the introduction of some pretty intense hi hats. Pretty smooth throughout, the track features a high-pitched stab in the latter half giving it a nice unique feel.
A nice release here by Mike Mendoza with two tracks that I must say impress quite nicely.
