- Aural Imbalance provide the 2nd release on Found Recordings following the very solid start provided by Deep Space Organisms.
Contented Life is first up and the track begins nicely enough with some smooth scattered beats and some great effects and atmosphere. The nice bouncy baseline helps kick the track along but for me the melodies are a bit weak and perhaps slightly dated. Nevertheless the track doesn’t really falter due to this and in the end it is quite solid.
Thought Patterns gets into the flow with a nice thumping 4/4 kick and a deep throbbing baseline and again uses some decent melodic stabs to work its way into the groove. Some nice hi-hats get into the thick of it deep on adding a bit of depth to help make this a pretty solid but slightly lacking track.
Not a bad release here on Found and one worth looking into for fans of Aural Imbalance.
