- Cromie goes tech house—the good kind—on his excellent new EP.
- As a producer, Los Angeles stalwart Cromie hasn't shied away from experimenting with a variety of sounds, both local and international. He's as comfortable channeling smoggy West Coast deep house as he is UK funky. On "Landbridge," he ventures back across the Atlantic with a meaty bassline that wouldn't sound out of place in fabric during Wiggle's golden era. The melody that waltzes across the track is just as suited for a dark and sweaty room, its minor key menace accented by a vocal sample that falls somewhere between a Wilhelm scream and rave euphoria.
