- When we profiled the underground sound of Montevideo in 2017, the scene was in transition: a number of its key players were moving (or had moved) to Europe. But even with the lingering realities of brain drain, the Uruguayan capital is not short of exciting producers. Enter Juan Dairechsion, the artist behind the label Montevideo Electric Sound (which counts Craig Richards as a fan). "Latero" is likely to garner plauditts on either side of the Atlantic. It's an acidic burner with the 303 and the minor key crescendos giving it just a dash of venomous menace perfect for the late night.
